Sourced from the incredible Stag Canyon Vineyard located on the eastern edge of Santa Ynez Valley with its tight spacing and rocky alluvial soils, this pristine vineyard is perfect for growing world class Bordeaux varietals. The grapes were fermented using native yeast to express the terroir of this amazing sight. The grapes were gently basket pressed prior to dryness to capture perfect balance and aged on lees for three years in seasoned French oak prior to bottling.
Aromas of mulberries & chocolate covered blueberries with mouthwatering acidity and tannins. The finish is long and rich with velvet like tannins. Drinkable now but the wine will age for 20 years.
