Sourced from the limestone laden hillsides of Tierra Alta Vineyard using three clones of Grenache, 362, Tablas, and Alban. Grapes were cold soaked for 5 days prior to fermentation using native yeast. The wine was aged for 18 months in neutral French oak prior to bottling.
Bright aromas of raspberry, cherry, and rhubarb, along with spice aromas of sarsaparilla, white pepper, mineral, and herbs de Provence. Juicy flavors of raspberry, plum, and cherry, give way to a core filled with red licorice, leather, cola, mineral, and herbs de Provence. The finish is long with taught, spicy tannins.
Only 300 cases produced (sadly, wild pigs ate 15 tons of Grenache in 2022)
