Sourced from Brick Barn vineyard located on the sandy soils of the Buellton flats. The wine was fermented cold in stainless steel to capture the fresh aromas and bright acidity. After primary fermentation the wine was transferred to neutral French oak for aging. Malolactic fermentation was inhibited to preserve the fresh acidity.
Tasting Notes: A clean and refreshing wine originating from basque region of Spain. Excellent aromas of a spring bouquet of flowers such as orange blossom and Jasmine. Fruits of underripe fresh cut green apple, Asian pear, and tangerine pith. Bone dry palate brings forth impressive notes of limestone and salinity. Palate continues with tart citrus notes of lime, orange and white grapefruit. Tropical tones hints more Asian pear, guava, and green papaya. Finish falls into higher tones of ginger with base tones of underripe stone fruits such as nectarine and apricot. An excellent aperitif
