Vibrant with raspberry, pomegranate, and cherry aromas, complemented by sandalwood, spice, and herbal notes. Rich flavors of ripe berries lead to a core of leather, red licorice, tobacco, and minerals, ending with a plush, tannin-rich finish.

I am so proud of the 2021 vintage and specially for Grenache. It was a perfect growing season with even keeled weather, allowing for long hang time and perfect maturity. Ali’i represents the best Grenache of the vintage and is a blend of Tierra Alta, Charlie’s and La Presa vineyards barrel selected for their amazing flavors. She is truly the Queen. Fermented using native yeast and aged for 22 months in 500L liter seasoned and neutral French oak prior to bottling.

TASTING NOTES

Bright aromas of raspberry, pomegranate, and ripe cherry, along with scents of sandalwood, mineral, red licorice, bakers spice and herbs de Provence. Juicy upfront flavors are echoed in the mouth with ripe raspberry, pomegranate, and cherry, that give way to a rich core packed with leather, red licorice, sweet pipe tobacco, herbs de Provence and mineral. The finish is long lasting with plush tannins.
