2019 Hapa Blanc
The 2019 Hapa Blanc is a complex blend of 50% Roussanne, 15% Grenache Blanc, 10% Viognier, 10% Sauvignon Blanc, 10% Riesling, and 5% Alabriño. The Roussanne is from La Presa Vineyard and is barrel fermented using yeast from the Rhone Valley, aged sur lie and allowed to go through malolactic fermentation to provide richness and structure. The Grenache Blanc is grown on a steep limestone laden hillside from Tierra Alta, tank fermented then barrel aged. The Viognier is also from Tierra Alta, tank fermented using German yeast to enhance the aromatics and barrel aged. The Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Albariño are all from La Presa - tank fermented and then aged in neutral French oak for 15 months to round out the amazing intensity from the sites and vintage.

Tasting Notes:
The nose instantly greets you with bold aromas of honeysuckle and orange blossoms, and opens to release notes of peaches, apple cider, and ripe pears. Flavors of honey, orange rind, golden apple skin, pineapple, and toasted caramel unfold across the palate. Pair with grilled peach & goat cheese or a selection of semi-soft cheeses and charcuterie.
