I'm thrilled to introduce this exceptional Chardonnay from Santa Rita Hills. Although 2022 presented challenges with low yields for white wines, I had the opportunity to work with Rio Vista Chardonnay, resulting in a remarkable wine. While I'm not the biggest fan of domestic Chardonnay, I'm a devoted enthusiast of white Burgundy, and that's precisely the style I aimed to achieve. This Chardonnay underwent tank fermentation with two different yeasts for complexity. After the cool primary fermentation, I halted malolactic fermentation and aged the wine on lees for 10 months in neutral French oak and stainless-steel barrels. The outcome is a wonderfully balanced Chardonnay that will complement your holiday meals perfectly. Enjoy!
Tasting Notes: This Chardonnay boasts bright aromas of pear, pineapple, and golden apple, intertwined with perfumed scents of sandalwood, white rose, minerals, and baker's spice. Its upfront flavors burst with pineapple, Asian pear, and key lime, leading to a textured core filled with citrus, minerals, lemon curd, and spice, with a fresh and bright finish.
