This reserve Grenache is sourced from the Thompson Vineyard in the Alisos Canyon AVA. This is the first time working with the Grenache at this vineyard, but I did make Cabernet Franc from Thompson in 2001. Own rooted Alban Clone Grenache, destemmed with 50% whole berry and fermented using native yeast. The wine was aged on lees for 22 months in neutral French Oak prior to bottling.

This delicious Grenache is packed with layers of chocolate-covered cherries, vanilla and cinnamon. The balanced acidity, grippy tannins, and long finish make this the perfect wine to stand out at a barbeque with sausages, heavily sauced ribs, and grilled vegetables.
