2019 Grenache Blanc - Library

Tierra Alta sits on the northeastern edge of Ballard Canyon and is prized for its steep limestone laden hillsides. The Grenache Blanc was tank fermented using yeast sourced from the Rhone Valley to accentuate varietal character and authenticity to the region. After fermentation the wine was racked to neutral French oak and 20% new Acacia wood to enhance character and mouthfeel. 

Tasting notes:

Aromas of orange blossom, pink grapefruit, and Asian pear, along with mineral, citrus and lemon thyme. Flavors of mandarin orange, meyer lemon, and starfruit give way to a core of white pepper, lemon curd, and mineral, finishing long and crisp. Perfect pairing with for the holidays, delicious with baked brie or roasted turkey.
